The Keeper's Guide

Everything in the Hollow, explained the way the in-game Handbook explains it — short, plain, and correct. New Keepers start at the top; veterans can jump straight to the system they're wrestling with.

🚶 Getting around

The Grounds are yours from the first second.

Moving and gathering

Hold and drag anywhere on the Grounds and your Keeper walks toward your finger. There's no pathfinding puzzle and no movement grid — the Hollow is a place you stroll. Anything you grab out in the world goes straight into your pockets the moment you touch it; there's no separate collection step, and things you've dropped off at home are always safe.

Falling in the mist

Deep mist has teeth. If you fall out there, you lose whatever is still in your satchel — but nothing you've already brought home. The rhythm of the game is exactly that: venture out, gather, come back, bank it.

Keeper Power

Keeper Power is your score, one number for everything you've raised, built, and won. It's also your world rank. Tap it any time to walk the Power Road — a milestone track where every stop pays rewards.

⚔️ Battles

Real-time lane duels — you fight them, they don't fight themselves.

What fighting earns

Fights pay XP, eggs, and Totem chests. Trials add gems and titles; the Arena moves trophies. Coins come from work, not war — that is the Hollow's law, and it's why your base and your battle team are two different investments.

Attack, dodge, block

Tap ATTACK and your shot flies straight up your own lane, so line up with the enemy before you fire. When a shadow races down your lane, swipe sideways to step out of it. Swipe down to block — and if you time the block as the shot lands, you stun the enemy. Your Mythling's Speed stat decides how fast it changes lanes, so a slow Mythling has to move early.

How a fight ends

A duel ends when one Mythling runs out of health. Nothing else ends it — no round timers in normal fights, no sudden interruptions. Read the telegraphs, keep your health up, and finish the job.

🥚 Mythlings

Stats, traits, temperaments, and the bond you build.

The four stats

Attack is damage. Defense is health. Speed is how fast you change lanes in a duel. Crafting is for jobs, not fighting — it raises how fast a Mythling works.

Rarity, traits, and temperament

Every Mythling has one of six rarities, from Common up to Mythic — higher rarity means better stats. Each is also born with a trait, a small permanent bonus that always applies with no setup needed, and a temperament, a quirk with one small effect such as extra XP or a little healing after wins. Neither ever changes.

Leveling and Friendship

Mythlings level up by winning battles, and they gain XP slowly while working a job. Fighting beside you also grows Friendship — a bond that climbs from Stranger through Companion and Sworn up to Soulbound, adding small perks at each tier. Companions grow it fastest.

Breeding the dream

Match the parents. Matching traits always pass on. Wild eggs only rarely roll special coats; breeding is how you lock a coat into a line you can keep. There's much more on bloodlines on the Mythlings page.

🎭 Archetypes

Five roles that shape both how a Mythling fights and where it works.

Every Mythling belongs to one of five archetypes — Brawler, Ranger, Mystic, Support, and Scavenger — and each has one home job and one thing it does out in the mist. A Brawler chops trees and breaks rocks; a Ranger holds the Guard Post; a Mystic quickens the Cauldron and is the only archetype that can lift a Totem in the world; a Support speeds hatching, growing, and building and survives a mist knockout at 1 HP; a Scavenger finds the eggs everyone else walks past. The key rule is affinity: a Mythling at its matching station works 1.5× faster, so match the archetype to the job and everything goes quicker. The full breakdown lives on the Mythlings page.

🗿 Totems

Equippable special attacks — powerful, and permanent in a way that matters.

A Totem is a special attack you equip to one Mythling. It charges in battle as you land or take three hits, then fires on your command. Uses per battle scale with the Totem's rarity — a Common fires once per fight, while Legendary and Mythic Totems are unlimited. Totems come from chests earned in wins, Trials, and the Arena, and the Totem stall sells them at a steep price. One warning the game gives you plainly, and we'll repeat here: removing a Totem destroys it. It never returns to your inventory, so choose its bearer carefully.

🏠 Your base

The Keep at the center, the mist at the fence.

The Keep is your main building — upgrading it unlocks more buildings and longer offline earnings, and nearly every system in the game opens as it climbs. To grow, tap the mist at your fence and pay Mythwood to clear it; each ring deeper costs more. From Keep 3 you can raise habitats — display homes, one per archetype, where free Mythlings come and go on their own while visitors leave a daily coin tip. You can also paint Stone Paths anywhere on your grounds, streets for your guests to stroll.

🏛 Buildings

What each one does, in one honest line each.

The Nursery hatches eggs in warm nests — one egg per nest, more nests with upgrades. The Breeding Pen pairs a ♂ and ♀ into a new egg; better parents make better clutches, one clutch at a time. Farm Plots grow crops for the Cauldron, which brews them into potions — Tonics revive, Feeds raise a stat forever. The Egg Cellar stores your eggs, and when it's full, new finds wait rather than vanish. The Infirmary mends knocked-out Mythlings free and faster. The Town Well speeds every work crew by 10% per level. The Watchtower guards your nights against mist-beasts. The Training Yard trains a Mythling over real time, up to your Yard level in hours, and pays +15% XP on every battle. The Gem Mine makes one gem a day, no upgrades ever. And the Market sells for instant fair coins, with daily stock, trades, seeds — and a Global Market where you set your own prices.

⛏️ Jobs & farming

Your Mythlings earn while you sleep.

Assign a Mythling to a job site and it works: the Gold Mine pays coins, tree plots pay wood, and the Forage Post sends a crew into the mist to bring back eggs. Crews keep earning XP while you're away. Match archetypes for real gains — a Brawler mines 50% faster — and higher Crafting raises the rate further. A worker can't fight while it's working, but recalling one is a single tap and nothing is lost.

🪙 Gold & gems

Two currencies, two philosophies.

Gold comes from your base — jobs, sales, visitors — never from battle. You can sell eggs for gold at any time, as many as you like, from the egg itself or the Market's Sell tab. Gems are for skipping timers, cosmetics, and Mythlings+, and the game commits to a hard rule: gems never make you stronger in a fight. You earn them free from the daily log-in gem, gem ads, and the Gem Mine.

📖 Adventures

Three roads out of the Hollow.

The Trials of the Mist are ten story battles up the mountain road, free to fight with no satchel risk, ending at the Mist Sovereign itself — a two-phase fight that guards a guaranteed Fabled egg for the Keeper who ends it. The Arena pits you against other Keepers' teams, and nothing is ever lost there. And after Trial 10 the Endless Mist opens: a ladder of ever-deeper battles with no floor, where every depth bites harder than the last and your record stands forever on the leaderboard.

✨ Mythlings+

The monthly pass — earned by playing, never by paying.

Mythlings+ is a monthly pass of 50 reward tiers across two tracks: a free track every player walks, and a Plus track for subscribers. Playing earns the pass XP; paying never does. The Plus track adds conveniences — a weekly gem stipend, faster energy, extra daily quests, a second Builder with a deeper queue, a daily bonus chest, and a Legendary at tier 50 — but everything on it is convenience or looks, never a fight advantage. A daily bounty keeps sessions honest too: your first six wins each day pay full rewards, after which egg and chest drops shrink until tomorrow. XP never shrinks.
