Out in the mist

The Brawler is one of only two archetypes that can chop trees and break rocks — and chopping is the only way Mythwood ever comes home, which makes it the only way the fence ever moves out. Walk your Brawler up to a tree and it fells it on its own, no tapping; find a cracked boulder and a merged Brawler smashes it open for coins — and once in a while an egg. When a Golden Grove rises in the mist on event nights, it is the Brawlers who go logging. A hollow without a Brawler is a hollow without lumber, which is to say: not growing.

At home

Its stations are the Tree Plot and the Gold Mine — a Brawler works them half again as fast as anyone else, and mining is where that affinity turns straight into gold. Stack the Town Well’s speed bonus and a high-Crafting roll on top and a single well-bred Brawler outproduces a whole shift of mismatched workers. Put your spare Brawlers underground and your economy hums.

In the duel

A Brawler punches with a boxing glove — a close, heavy style whose signature finisher is the Haymaker. Its birth-spike leans toward Attack, so it is the archetype most likely to hatch already hitting hard, and a bred Brawler line pushed past the ⚡150 Attack mark is the Hollow’s classic damage bloodline: unsubtle, unfashionable, undefeated.

Who should raise one first?

Everyone, honestly. The early economy runs on wood, and wood runs on Brawlers. If your first good egg hatches a Brawler, you did not get unlucky — you got a working start: a woodcutter for the fence, a miner for the ladder, and a right hook for everything the mist sends to argue about it.

Pairing and bloodlines

Archetype is heritable, so a Brawler line stays a Brawler line. Because each stat comes from one parent, the classic program pairs a big-Attack Brawler with a big-Defense anything and keeps the eggs that inherit both — a few generations later you have a bruiser that hits past the ⚡150 notch and shrugs off the answer. Match the parents’ traits and the trait rides along guaranteed; a damage trait on a Brawler line is the cheapest power in the game. And remember the day job when you cull: a high-Crafting “failure” from a fighting line is a mining champion wearing the wrong rosette.
