Whatever it is, the Scavenger found it first.

Out in the mist

The Scavenger finds more eggs in the bushes — the mist simply yields more to it, every walk, every bush. A merged Scavenger can also dig the glinting earth for coins and the occasional buried egg, and because it counts as melee, it chops trees and breaks rocks too — the only archetype besides the Brawler that can bring wood home. Pound for pound it has the longest list of things it can do outside the fence of any Mythling alive.

At home

Its station is the 🧺 Forage Post, where a Scavenger crew hunts eggs in the near mist better than anyone, and a high-Crafting Scavenger skims the forage run richer still. Eggs are the whole game’s seed corn — every bloodline, every roster slot, every lucky Mythic starts as an egg somebody found — and Scavengers find them. A serious collector’s forage crew is all clovers, all the time.

In the duel

A Scavenger flings slingshot pebbles — quick, cheeky, and harder to corner than it looks, with a fire-rate edge that rewards aggression. Its spike leans nimble, and a Scavenger line bred for Speed past the ⚡150 mark makes one of the best racing stables in the Hollow: the same legs that dodge a beast’s lunge take a boost gate at full stride.

Who should raise one first?

Collectors chasing the dex. More eggs means more rolls of the dice, and more rolls is the only honest way to a rare coat or a Mythic hatch. If your favorite sound in games is the one a new creature makes when it appears, the Scavenger is how you hear it more often.

Pairing and bloodlines

Scavenger lines split two ways, and both are good. The racing stable breeds Speed on Speed and keeps every egg past the ⚡150 notch — the archetype’s nimble spike gives the program a head start. The forage dynasty breeds Crafting instead, aiming for a crew that skims every egg run richer. Matched traits pass on guaranteed either way, and a luck-flavored trait on a forage line is the collector’s crown jewel. The honest advice: keep both lines, because the racing failures forage and the forage failures race, and a Scavenger has never once been useless.
