A real-time lane duel — read the shadow, step out, block, and strike back.

Every fight in the Hollow is a real-time lane duel, not an auto-battler. You and the enemy face each other across lanes. Tap ATTACK and your shot flies straight up your own lane — so line up with the enemy first, or you are shooting at fog. Hold to keep firing; your Mythling’s Attack stat decides how much each hit takes.

When the enemy fires back, a shadow races down your lane. Swipe left or right to step out of it. Swipe down to block — and if you time the block as the shot lands, it stuns the enemy and the counter-window is yours. Blocking is the skill that separates keepers: stats decide the close fights, but a clean block decides the closer ones. A fight ends one way only: when one Mythling runs out of health. Nothing else ends it.
Speed decides how fast you change lanes. A slow Mythling has to move early; a fast one can wait until the last blink and make the enemy waste shots. Past the ⚡150 mark Speed pays twice, quickening both your lane changes and your walk through the mist — which is why bred Speed lines double as racing stables.
Every Mythling is born knowing one special attack — a power move that recharges on a timer during battle, quicker at higher rarities. How often you can fire it depends on the attack’s own rarity: a Common special works once per battle, Uncommon twice, Rare three times, Epic four — and Legendary and Mythic specials are unlimited. Low-tier moves can be dodged or blocked like anything else; the top tiers land reliably, which is their real luxury.
Not happy with the roll? A 🪨 Miststone re-rolls it — the old attack is gone for good, so spend the stone carefully; the game even makes you hold the button down for the rare ones so a slip of the thumb can never destroy a Legendary. The attack’s rarity rolls on its own die, separate from the creature’s: a plain Common Mythling can be born knowing a Mythic move. Breed for it, hatch for it, or re-roll for it.
Battles pay XP, eggs, and 🪨 Miststones. Trials add gems and titles; the Arena moves trophies. Coins come from work, not war — that is the Hollow’s law, and it is why your base matters as much as your champion. Your first six wins each day pay full rewards; after that, egg and chest drops shrink until tomorrow — XP never does. A short session every day beats a long one every week, and the week away costs you nothing.
